CNC Operator / Machine Operator

Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
Pay: £13.45 per hour basic, with higher rates available depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:00pm or rotational 0600-1400/1400-2200
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting experienced CNC Operators and Machine Operators for a manufacturing facility in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with CNC operating, machine programming and technical drawing experience who are looking for a long-term role with competitive pay and progression opportunities.

Immediate starts are available, with interviews taking place this week.

The Role:

  • Operating CNC machinery within a busy manufacturing environment

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings

  • Programming machines and making adjustments where required

  • Carrying out hands-on manufacturing and manual work

  • Working across production areas including floors, walls, joinery and logistics

  • Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Following production processes and health and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous CNC Operator or Machine Operator experience

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings

  • Experience programming CNC machinery

  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach

  • Comfortable carrying out manual handling and practical work

  • Reliable, hardworking and keen to secure a long-term position

Pay and Benefits:

  • £13.45 per hour basic starting rate

  • Higher hourly rates available depending on experience

  • Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity

  • Immediate starts available

  • Opportunities for pay progression

  • Day shifts or rotational 0600-1400/1400-2200

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:00pm, with a 30-minute break.
