Finance Manager – Bradford Council

Contract: 6 months
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Office Attendance: 1 day per week onsite desirable – NEGOTIABLE

£26.61 per hour PAYE - NEGOTIABLE

Role Overview

Bradford Council is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide high-quality financial management and professional accountancy support within the Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting effective financial planning, monitoring and reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and providing sound financial advice to service areas and senior stakeholders.

The role would suit a qualified or highly experienced finance professional with strong public sector knowledge and an understanding of the financial environment within a Local Authority. Experience within Public Health would be particularly advantageous.

Key Requirements

• CCAB Professional Accountancy Qualification is desirable.
• Alternatively, AAT qualification with significant and demonstrable relevant finance experience will be considered.
• Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
• Demonstrable ability to provide clear and effective financial advice to managers and senior stakeholders.
