TeacherActive is proud to be working with a vibrant and creative mainstream primary school in Bristol. The school has a warm, community-focused ethos, with an ambitious curriculum and a strong focus on creating opportunities for children to develop their curiosity, confidence and imagination.

The mainstream school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 31st August 2026, working 32.5 hours per week during term time. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, assist with learning activities, behaviour strategies and resource preparation, monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCPs and SEND Support Plans.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Relevant qualifications suitable for working within a primary school setting
• Proven experience working with primary-aged children, ideally supporting pupils with SEND
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• A reflective approach and commitment to ongoing professional development
• A positive, resourceful and adaptable approach
