3.5 Tonne Driver - Reading, Berkshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our client based in Reading, Berkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, flexible ad hoc work and genuine opportunities for progression within a growing operation.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver or Multi-Drop Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £12.71 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Ad hoc work
• Monday to Friday
• Start times from 6:00am
• Flexible shifts available based on business requirements

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver are:

• Delivering plant machinery to customer locations
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure prior to transit
• Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
• Operating a 3.5 tonne vehicle safely and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with customers and site staff
• Adhering to all driving regulations and company procedures
• Managing delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Providing a professional level of customer service at all times

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for a minimum of two years
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
• A good understanding of road networks and navigation systems
• The ability to work to deadlines and use your own initiative
• A professional and reliable approach to work

Training:

• Vehicle maintenance and safety training
• Compliance and regulatory training
• Full paid site induction provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
