Ideal Recruit is currently recruiting Class 1 Shunter Drivers for a well-established client based in Warrington.

Job Role

• Safely moving trailers and vehicles around the yard.

• Coupling and uncoupling trailers.

• Positioning vehicles at loading bays.

• Carrying out basic vehicle checks.

• Ensuring all movements are completed safely and efficiently.

• Following site safety rules and procedures at all times.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold a valid UK driving licence C+E.

• Have previous shunter or yard experience (preferred).

• Be confident manoeuvring vehicles in a busy yard environment.

• Have a good understanding of health & safety.

• Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Pay Rates (PAYE-holiday pay included in rate) 

• Monday to Friday - Day £18.09 / Night £19.50 per hour.
• Saturday & Sunday - Day £20.90 / Night £22.00 per hour.r.
