An established and growing Mechanical Building Services contractor is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join its Canterbury-based team due to continued business growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased professional looking to take ownership of projects from initial planning through to successful completion. The role would suit an experienced Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or Contracts Supervisor ready to progress into a Project Management position.

Working closely with the Directors and wider project team, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on schedule and within budget while maintaining excellent client relationships throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple Mechanical Building Services projects.
• Plan, schedule and monitor project activities from conception through to completion.
• Support project delivery teams with technical guidance and problem solving.
• Prepare and review technical submissions, project documentation and reports.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and reporting delays, risks and opportunities.
• Assist with project budgets, valuations and variation pricing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
• Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements where required.
• Attend site and client meetings as a representative of the business.
• Support tender preparation and project handovers as required.

The Successful Candidate

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Mechanical Site Manager, Contracts Supervisor or similar.
• Background within Mechanical Building Services, M&E or Construction projects.
• Experience coordinating labour, subcontractors and project programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of project costs and variations.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Relevant Mechanical Engineering or Building Services qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
