Counterbalance FLT Driver / Steel Yard Operative

£14.38 per hour | Monday–Friday | Early finish every Friday | Bilston

Are you an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver with previous experience handling long lengths of steel or similar oversized materials?

We're currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver / Yard Operative to join a growing manufacturing business in Bilston.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident operating a Counterbalance FLT in a busy yard environment and understands how to safely move, load and organise long steel and aluminium products.

What you'll be doing

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
• Loading, unloading and safely moving steel, aluminium and other raw materials
• Handling and positioning long lengths of steel
• Organising and maintaining stock within the yard
• Booking products and materials in and out
• Taking responsibility for goods-in processes
• Following site health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a busy yard and manufacturing team

What we're looking for

• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT
• A valid, in-date accredited Counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience handling long lengths of steel or similar materials
• Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of health & safety
• Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious approach to work

**STEEL-HANDLING EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS POSITION**

Working hours

• Monday–Thursday: 07:00–15:45
• Friday: 07:00–13:00

Rate of pay:

• £14.38 per hour
