Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the Telford area.

THE JOB

· Safely operate production and press machinery to manufacture metal components to the required specifications.

· Load and unload materials and components from machinery.

· Set up machinery for different jobs where required, with training provided where necessary.

· Monitor machines during production and report any issues or faults to the relevant supervisor.

· Carry out linishing, deburring and finishing of metal components.

· Carry out drilling and tapping operations using hand and power tools.

· Check finished and in-process components using basic measuring equipment to ensure they meet the required dimensions and quality.

· Follow production drawings, job sheets and work instructions.

· Maintain a clean and organised work area and carry out general labouring and production support duties.

· Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.

· Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

ABOUT YOU

· Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.

· Experience working with metal components or sheet metal would be advantageous.

· Confident using hand and power tools, including drills.

· Previous drilling, tapping, linishing or deburring experience would be advantageous.

· Press Brake experience is desirable but not essential.

· Able to follow production drawings, job sheets and work instructions.

· Good attention to detail and able to carry out basic quality checks.

· Practical and mechanically minded with a willingness to learn new machinery and processes.

· Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday – 07:30am -16:30pm

PAY RATE

£12.71 - £13.00ph depending on experience
