HGV Class 2 Driver - Dudley, West Midlands 

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Dudley, West Midlands. 

This is an excellent opportunity offering great rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for progression. 

This role would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver. 

Rates of Pay: 

• £15.00 per hour 

Shift Pattern: 

• Monday to Friday
• 05:00 start times

Day-to-Day Duties: 

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 driver are: 

• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries while maintaining high levels of customer service
• Operating HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secure and transported safely
• Delivering to customer locations using both mechanical and manual offloading methods
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Working flexibly, with early morning starts an essential part of the role
• Delivering timber and related products to customer locations 

Essential Skills: 

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 driver, you will need: 

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Minimum of 12 months' Category C driving experience
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Strong understanding of UK transport laws and safety regulations
• Excellent timekeeping, reliability and communication skills
• Previous experience working with timber 

Training: 

• Full industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
