Job Description: General Manager - Exclusive-Use Wedding Venue

Role Summary

General Manager required for an exclusive-use wedding near to Northop, Flintshire, approximately 10 minutes from Mold and 20 minutes from Chester. This is an all-inclusive wedding venue offering indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies with exceptional guest experiences.

The purpose of the General Manager is to oversee and manage all aspects of venue operations, ensuring overall success and profitability. The role includes making high-level decisions that shape the venue's direction and performance, driving growth, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards-while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue to ensure smooth delivery of wedding experiences.
• Ensure all-inclusive service standards are met across every event (pre-event, ceremony, reception, and post-event).
• Make high-level decisions that impact business performance, service quality, and profitability.
• Drive growth and venue revenue through effective planning, pricing input, and operational improvements.
• Maintain a strong focus on exceptional service and guest satisfaction, ensuring consistent, memorable experiences.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including health & safety and licensing requirements where applicable.
• Manage and develop operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality.
• Lead, coordinate, and support teams across operations, guest experience, and event delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure reliable, high-quality event services.
• Track performance metrics (e.g., profitability, event turnaround, service quality) and implement improvements.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in a senior operational management role (ideally within hospitality, events, weddings, or leisure).
• Strong leadership capability with a track record of improving service delivery and profitability.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events and stakeholders effectively.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements, operational risk, and quality assurance.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to make high-level decisions that support business growth.
• Customer-focused approach and the confidence to champion guest experience at every stage.
• Comfortable leading teams and managing through busy, event-led periods.

Location & Travel

• Northop, Flintshire
• Approximately 10 minutes from Mold and 20 minutes from Chester
• On-site presence required due to event delivery and operational oversight.

Relocation Support

• Up to £3,000 relocation package available (where applicable and subject to agreed terms).
