Are you a confident B2B salesperson who enjoys building relationships, winning new business and making a difference?

We’re working with a growing training and skills organisation looking for an Employer Learning & Development Consultant to develop new and existing employer relationships across Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

This is a consultative B2B sales role where you’ll work with businesses ranging from SMEs to large organisations, helping them solve workforce challenges through apprenticeships, skills bootcamps, early careers recruitment and employee development.

The opportunity

You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building a strong pipeline and developing long-term relationships with employers.

You’ll:

• Generate new business through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and face-to-face meetings
• Build and manage your own sales pipeline
• Engage with business owners, HR and senior decision-makers
• Understand workforce challenges and recommend tailored training solutions
• Advise employers on apprenticeship levy and funding opportunities
• Convert opportunities into apprenticeships, training and skills programmes
• Account manage existing employer relationships
• Attend networking events and represent the organisation within the local business community
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts

About you

We’re looking for someone who is commercially driven, confident and great at building relationships.

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven B2B sales/business development experience
• A track record of converting prospects into customers
• Experience working to targets
• Confidence speaking with decision-makers
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Good IT and CRM skills

Experience within the apprenticeship, training or skills sector would be advantageous, particularly knowledge of apprenticeship funding or experience working with levy-paying employers.

A full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
