📦 Stores Person (Counterbalance FLT)

Job Type: Full Time | Temp to Perm
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour

About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Stores Person to join a well-established business based in Cradley Heath, Birmingham. This is a hands-on, physically active role that combines general warehouse and stores duties with approximately 1-2 hours of forklift truck operation each day.

The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Whilst previous experience is beneficial, it is not essential as attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out general stores and warehouse duties
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading, unloading, and moving stock around the warehouse
• Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch
• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Assisting with manual handling tasks, including lifting items up to 20kg

🏷️ What We're Looking For

• Valid RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Friendly, positive, and reliable attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous warehouse or stores experience is advantageous but not essential

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm / Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm finish
