Science Teacher 

Do you have a passion for science and inspiring young people to explore, question, and succeed in a supportive learning environment?

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference while delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, or Physics?

We are currently seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to work in a secondary school in the South Tyneside area. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging and structured lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and help create a positive classroom environment where every student feels confident to learn and succeed.

You will work closely with the science department and school leadership team to ensure continuity of learning while maintaining high standards in teaching, behaviour, and student engagement.


🕒 Working Hours
8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday


💡 What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and professional attitude
  • Ability to provide two recent references

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where required)
  • Plan and deliver lessons that support pupils of all abilities
  • Encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and independent learning
  • Create a positive and structured learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with the science department and wider school staff
  • Maintain strong behaviour management in the classroom
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress where necessary
