Sales Growth Executive | Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex | Full Time | £30,000 Base Salary + OTE £40,000

Flag Formulations & HB42 are leading specialists in the development and manufacture of specialist paints, sealants and adhesives. With a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise and innovation, the business continues to expand and is now looking for a Sales Growth Executive to join their team in Burnham-on-Crouch.

The Role

As a Sales Growth Executive, you’ll play a key role in growing revenue across the business. You’ll manage and develop existing customer accounts while proactively identifying, pursuing and winning new business.

This is a predominantly phone-based role, with occasional customer visits and attendance at trade shows. You’ll also provide sales administration cover in the office one day per week, with additional office cover required during holidays and staff absences.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively contact existing customers across both brands to maintain relationships, prompt reorders and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across merchants, distributors, trade buyers and private label prospects
• Re-engage lapsed accounts and convert warm leads into active customers
• Follow up on sample requests and quotes that have not yet converted
• Introduce new product launches to existing and prospective customers
• Visit key customers where required to strengthen relationships and progress opportunities
• Represent the business at trade shows and industry events
• Work closely with senior account managers and the commercial team to identify and escalate growth opportunities
• Cover sales administration duties one day per week in the office, plus provide additional cover during holidays and staff absences
• Accurately record customer interactions, calls, emails and pipeline activity in Nutshell CRM
• Provide regular reporting on account activity, new business won and revenue generated across both brands

Requirements

Essential

• Previous experience in account management, telesales, internal sales or business development
• A natural relationship builder who thrives on the phone
• Confident hunting for new business while developing existing customer accounts
• Self-motivated and commercially minded, with a genuine drive to hit and exceed targets
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prospects
• Resilient and able to manage a busy sales pipeline
• Comfortable using CRM systems
• Confident representing a business professionally with customers and at industry events

Desirable

• Experience working across multiple product brands and customer types
• Experience using Nutshell CRM
• Interest or experience in the building trade, coatings, sealants or DIY sector
