The Role

  • Act as the nominated Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, subject to relevant accreditation requirements

  • Provide technical oversight across solar PV, battery storage and renewable installations

  • Monitor workmanship, documentation and installation quality

  • Support workforce competence and technical authorisation

  • Assess subcontractors from a technical compliance perspective

  • Provide guidance on complex installation and commissioning issues

  • Support G98/G99, DNO processes and export limitation requirements

  • Identify recurring technical issues and implement improvements

  • Ensure electrical safety procedures are consistently followed

  • Act as the technical point of contact for certification bodies and external auditors

About You

We're looking for an experienced electrical professional who combines strong technical knowledge with the ability to provide practical guidance across a growing installation operation.

You'll ideally have:

  • Significant experience as a qualified electrician

  • Strong inspection, testing and certification experience

  • Previous Electrical Qualifying Supervisor / QS experience

  • Experience within solar PV, battery storage or renewable energy

  • Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and UK electrical regulations

  • Experience with electrical audits, compliance and technical reviews

  • Experience working with NICEIC, NAPIT and/or MCS accredited organisations

  • Knowledge of G98/G99 applications

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A practical, hands-on approach to technical problem solving

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing renewable energy operation at an exciting stage of its development.

You'll have genuine influence over technical standards, compliance, accreditation and installation quality, while helping shape the electrical governance of a developing solar and renewables division.

North West-based candidates are particularly encouraged to apply, with Crewe expected to form an important part of the role.
