Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of a busy residential development, ensuring homes are built safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Assistant Site Manager Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you'll take responsibility for managing plots from pre-plaster through to customer handover, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring each property is completed to an exceptional standard.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys the finishing stages of construction, has excellent attention to detail and takes real pride in delivering homes that customers will be proud to move into.

You'll also gain exposure to the wider management of a fast-paced development, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress towards Site Manager level in the future.

Assistant Site Manager Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Site Manager in the successful delivery of a busy residential development.
• Managing plots from pre-plaster stage through to legal completion and customer handover.
• Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to company quality standards.
• Monitoring build progress and maintaining programme.
• Carrying out regular quality inspections and closing out defects.
• Managing customer choices, upgrades and specification changes.
• Liaising with Building Control, NHBC/Warranty Inspectors and internal departments.
• Conducting customer demonstrations and home handovers.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping across the site.
• Supporting weekly site reporting and attending progress meetings.
• Deputising for the Site Manager during periods of absence when required.

Assistant Site Manager Criteria 

We're looking for a motivated and career-driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced residential environment and takes pride in delivering quality homes.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman or similar within volume housebuilding.
• Experience managing plots through the finishing stages to customer handover.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and build sequencing.
• Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• The confidence to coordinate subcontractors and build positive working relationships.
• A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to progress your career.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision (or equivalent).
• SMSTS.
• First Aid at Work.
• Scaffold Inspection.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
