We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a genuine difference in the classroom every day.

Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or have transferable experience working with children, this school offers a fantastic environment where you can develop your skills and progress your career within education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons.

  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.

  • Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development.

  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those with SEND where required.

  • Help create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.

  • Assist with classroom preparation, resources and daily routines.

  • Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's policies.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with primary-aged children in a school, nursery or similar setting.

  • Is enthusiastic, patient and passionate about supporting children's learning.

  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

  • Is flexible, proactive and able to use their own initiative.

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

  • Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
