One opportunity that stands out right now is at an established 24-hour hospital in Derbyshire where the current partner is due to retire this August, so we are looking for a senior vet to take the reins and look for new opportunities for growth. This is a stable team and a very well-run site under the current partner, so some leadership experience will be a benefit but it's not essential and this could also fit somebody wanting a step up in their career.

You’ll be leading a large, dynamic and supportive team of ten vets including certificate holders and vets working towards further qualifications in dermatology, surgery, internal medicine, emergency & critical care, and ophthalmology, alongside a dedicated head nurse, twelve skilled nurses, and five friendly receptionists. Located in a sought-after market town, the practice enjoys a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere with excellent schools, green spaces, and a high quality of life—making this a fantastic place to work and live!

Who We're Looking For:

We're after a vet with vision—someone ready to take the reins, lead a team, and build something special. You'll be committed to exceptional patient care and creating a great experience for clients, while also growing and developing your clinic and team. Experience in leadership or business is a bonus, but not essential—we’re looking for the drive and ambition to succeed, with the backing of experts to help make it happen.

Financial Benefits & Exit Options

• Monthly profit share plus guaranteed exit payment when you choose to leave the partnership
• Exit valuations increase over time (multiples applied at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 years)
• Example: Drawings can grow from £110k at Year 2 to £178k at Year 10, with equity increasing from £300k to over £1.2m*
• Equity purchased depends on clinic valuation and affordability, with financing options available

• Clinical support network from experienced vets and specialists
• Dedicated back-office support (finance, HR, marketing, procurement, facilities)
• Regional Operations support to help run the practice smoothly
• Initial drawings safeguarded (minimum £75k salary if profits are lower in early stages)
