Production Operative (Dress Operative)
Starting Salary: £12.37 - £14.43 per hour (+ shift allowance)
Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Production Operative (Dress Operative) to work within a highly skilled, dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Production Operative will work alongside the Primary Supervisor and the wider team to support daily production operations.

Job Role

  • Following part set-up sheets and customer work schedules
  • Using hand tools such as grinders and burning equipment to dress heavy-duty steel parts
  • Completing daily operation, TPM (total preventative/production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets
  • Completing tasks using engineering drawings
  • Inspecting quality of parts to maintain high standards and completing first-off checks
  • Inspecting all equipment to ensure it is in a safe working condition
  • Carrying out other ad hoc duties as requested by your line manager (within the scope of your skills and capabilities)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in weld dressing is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience within the manufacturing sector is desirable but not essential
  • Experience using engineering drawings is beneficial but not essential
  • Full training will be provided upon commencement, along with ongoing development opportunities

Further Information

  • There is a zero-tolerance approach to the misuse of drugs and alcohol in the workplace, with random and for-cause testing carried out
