We are looking for a Construction Oversight Manager based at our Almelo site. In this role you will provide site level construction management capability to support group projects and ensure construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will support the full project lifecycle from project initiation and set up through construction delivery and final close out.

What you’ll do:

As Construction Oversight Manager you will act as Urenco’s site authority for construction management. You will ensure strong governance coordination and integration between project teams contractors and site stakeholders while safeguarding safety quality and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Leadership

  • Actively promote a proactive safety culture within all construction activities
  • Lead by example and act as a visible role model for safety and compliance
  • Ensure construction work is executed in line with Urenco standards legislation and best practice

Construction and Project Management

  • Provide sufficient construction management resources to enable safe and successful delivery of major CAPEX projects globally
  • Support projects throughout the full lifecycle from initiation to execution and close out
  • Act as Urenco’s subject matter expert in construction management providing advice guidance and leadership

Team and Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and lead a high performing construction oversight team focused on safety quality and delivery
  • Ensure effective integration of all disciplines functions contractors and site operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Commercial and Contractual Control

  • Protect Urenco’s commercial position through effective contracting strategies supplier selection procurement and contract management
  • Ensure construction activities are managed to minimise risk and prevent claims
  • Safeguard the owner’s contractual position at all times

What do you need to thrive in this role?

 Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent obtained or in progress
  • Formal leadership and management qualification
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • HNC or degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification

Experience and Skills

  • Strong technical background in engineering
  • Proven experience in construction management on large CAPEX projects
  • Demonstrated ability to protect contractual and commercial interests
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex environments
  • Fluent in business level English
