Position: Materials Manager
Location: Pershore, Worcestershire
Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

My client a global specialist manufacturing business, are on the hunt for a Materials Manager to join their fast paced, ever-growing business!

Role and Responsibilities –
In this role your primary function will be the management and monitoring of all inventory and vehicle movements at the 2 UK sites. This includes overseeing all aspects of materials flow, accuracy of stock and the stock transactions within the ERP system.

Other responsibilities include:

• Continual improvement of all material flow processes with a view to implementing best practices
• Management of Goods in Control processes including working closely with Quality team to ensure materials are clearly identified and stored as required.
• Oversight of perpetual stock counting processes including root cause analysis when discrepancies arise and implementing effective corrective actions where necessary
• Reviewing future resource requirements through sales forecasts and planning and adjusting accordingly.

Experience or Qualifications –

• Experince within a fast paced manufacturing environment, working in materials management role and overseeing all aspects of logistics
• Experience of SAGE200 / Microsoft Dynamix or similar ERP software
• Proven track record of warehouse management with a developed understanding of movement of materials, storage principles and FIFO practices
• Developed understanding of Lean Management principles with a proven record of implemented improvements in previous roles
