The Role – Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lewisham from September 2025.

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will be expected to deliver pre-planned lessons, lead whole-class learning in the teacher's absence, provide targeted interventions and support pupils across different year groups.

You will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning, helping pupils make progress academically, socially and emotionally. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and the confidence to adapt their approach to meet the needs of different learners.
