Are you a confident SEND Teaching Assistant , who is able to support pupils on a 1:1 basis with their school day?

We are supporting a welcoming mainstream primary school in Acocks Green, that are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis during term time with immediate start. School starts at 8:45am (doors open from 8:35am) and finishes at 3:15pm for the pupils, and you would be working with the child from greeting them onto site, until they leave for the day. 

The pupil you are working with , will see you as their direct point of call in the school, and the person they will build a relationship with during their time at school. Supporting them as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant is a huge opportunity to support this young child in KS1 with their education and school experience. 

The school need someone who is experienced supporting with complex SEN, works well under pressure, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact.

✔️ Confidence in managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner
✔️ A calm, patient, and nurturing approach when helping children regulate their emotions
✔️ The ability to think quickly on your feet and adapt to changing situations throughout the school day
✔️ Strong relationship-building skills to help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
✔️ Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs is desirable
