Are you a Psychology graduate looking to begin a rewarding career in child psychology, behavioural mentoring or SEN teaching?

Are you looking to use your degree to make a real difference by supporting students with special educational needs to achieve outstanding outcomes?

KPI Education is working with an alternative provision school to appoint a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in their learning.

The Role

You'll be supporting students in small-group learning and one-to-one settings, working alongside qualified teachers and education professionals while developing valuable, first-hand classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group behavioural support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, attendance and engagement.
  • Support students in developing emotional regulation strategies.
  • Assist teachers in creating a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Help de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Act as a positive role model for students.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to behaviour support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams.

About You

  • A First or 2:1 degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Social Work, Health and Social Care or a related subject.
  • Strong communication and confident interpersonal skills.
  • A resilient, patient and proactive approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people in their education.
  • A commitment to making a long-lasting, positive impact on pupils' lives.

Previous experience working with children and young people in a mentoring, tutoring or behavioural support setting would be advantageous.
