Nursing Home Manager – Nurse Qualified

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursing Home Manager / Registered Home Manager to join a well-established care service in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.

This is an urgent Home Manager vacancy, with interviews available ASAP. We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with previous care home management experience and a strong track record of delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

The role would suit an experienced Nurse Home Manager, Registered Home Manager, Care Home Manager or Registered Manager who is looking for their next senior management opportunity.

The Role – Nursing Home Manager

As the Nursing Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective management of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing and social care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overall management and leadership of the nursing home.

• Leading, motivating and developing the nursing and care team.

• Maintaining high standards of clinical care and person-centred care.

• Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards.

• Managing recruitment, staffing, supervision, appraisals and performance.

• Working closely with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.

• Overseeing care plans, safeguarding, clinical governance and quality assurance.

• Monitoring and improving care standards across the home.

• Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a positive care culture.

• Managing the day-to-day operational requirements of the service.

About You – Registered Nurse Home Manager

We are looking for a nurse-qualified Home Manager who is passionate about care and has the leadership skills required to successfully manage a nursing home.

You will ideally have:

• Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.

• Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Registered Home Manager or Care Home Manager.

• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance and inspection requirements.

• A proven commitment to high-quality, resident-focused care.

• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of nursing home environments.

• Experience managing and developing care and nursing teams.

• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Experience with safeguarding, care planning, audits and quality improvement.

• A proactive, compassionate and hands-on management approach.
