Are you looking to escape the hustle and bustle, and join a team that truly values community, compassion, and care?
I am working with a small, friendly, independent mixed veterinary practice nestled in the beautiful rural Mid-Devon countryside. With two welcoming sites and a commitment to providing a personalised, first-class service to animals and their owners, this is your chance to be part of something special.

They are on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with at least 1 year of experience to join their close-knit, supportive team. You’ll be based in their recently refurbished practice, complete with all the modern toys – from digital x-ray and ultrasound to in-house Idexx/Axiom lab equipment and multi-parameter monitors.

What’s in it for you?
• A genuine work-life balance – 4 or 5-day week (your choice!)
• No OOH, Sundays, or bank holidays
• 1 in 3 Saturdays, usually solo – with support while you settle in
• A team that includes experienced Vets, RVNs, ANAs and super support staff
• Access to visiting specialists and surgeons as needed
• Opportunity to develop your own interests in a practice that values growth

What you’ll be doing:
• 15-minute consults (longer for more complex cases)
• Routine and emergency surgeries
• Thorough medical workups with access to diagnostics
• Preventative care advice and client education
• Being a valued part of a collaborative, passionate team

Why Mid-Devon?

Who they are looking for:
