Learning Support Assistant – Primary School

Milk Education is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Enfield. This Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting Year 6 pupils through targeted interventions, academic support, and mentoring as they prepare for SATs and their transition to secondary education.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support Year 6 pupils in the classroom and through small-group interventions
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
• Provide mentoring and pastoral support to help pupils develop confidence and resilience
• Work closely with the class teacher to identify learning gaps and support progress
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Assist pupils in preparing for SATs and the transition to secondary school
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will Have:

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children
• Experience delivering interventions or small-group support
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• The Right to Work in the UK
