Graduate Teaching Assistant October 2026 | Up to £550 per week | Full-Time | Teacher Training Pathway Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching but want to experience life in the classroom before taking the leap into teacher training? Would you like to spend the 2026/27 academic year gaining valuable hands-on experience within a successful secondary school in Liverpool? Could this be the opportunity that helps you discover your potential as a future teacher and prepares you for teacher training in 2027? KPI Education is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Liverpool to recruit an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2026. Why Choose This Graduate Role?
More Than Classroom Support From your first day, you’ll be encouraged to become an active and valued member of the school community. Your day could involve supporting lessons within your specialist subject before working with a small group of pupils who need additional academic guidance. You may then help deliver a GCSE revision session, provide 1:1 support, or work alongside students with additional learning needs. You’ll also have opportunities to assist with creating learning resources, tracking pupil progress, supporting enrichment activities, and contributing to revision and wider school programmes. As you become more confident, you’ll be encouraged to take on additional responsibility, allowing you to build a realistic understanding of classroom life and develop the practical skills required to become an effective teacher. Who Are We Looking For? The school is keen to hear from bright, motivated, and confident graduates who have strong communication skills and a genuine interest in working with young people. Applications are welcomed from a broad range of degree backgrounds, particularly graduates with qualifications in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, Psychology, or related subjects. Previous experience working in a school is beneficial but not essential. The school is looking for graduates who are reliable, enthusiastic, academically capable, and willing to learn. If you’re considering teaching but want to experience the profession before committing to teacher training, this could be the perfect opportunity to spend a year discovering whether the classroom is where you see your future.
