CNC Setter Operator

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a number of CNC Setters to join our well-established client based in Stourbridge, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering great benefits and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a CNC Turner, CNC Centerless Grinder, CNC Sliding Head

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 – 15:30 (Overtime available in peak times)

Rates of Pay: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties:

As a CNC Setter, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Setting and operating CNC Sliding Head and/or Fixed Head machines or CNC Turning Machines or CNC Centerless Grinders.
• Producing high-quality precision engineered components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Conducting quality checks using measuring equipment
• Making tool and offset adjustments when required
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Essential skills:

To be successful as a CNC Setter you will need:

• Previous CNC Fixed Head machines, CNC Turning Machines or CNC Centerless Grinders setting experience. 
• Quality control expertise
• Proficiency in using hand tools
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• A committed attitude to continuous improvement activities such as 5S and lean production

Training:

• Full training will be provided on site, with continued development opportunities
