Quantity Surveyor - Construction - Commercial

Salary: £85 000 to £90 000 (DOE)

Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor within the construction and commercial sector to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the effective commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing cost plans, budgets and tender documentation.

• Managing subcontractor procurement and tender processes.

• Monitoring and controlling project costs and cash flow.

• Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts.

• Supporting project teams to maximise commercial performance.

• Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual practices, including JCT contracts.

• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

• A proactive and professional approach to project delivery.
