Plasma Cutter – £17 per Hour

Location: Brierley Hill, West Midlands
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–10:00pm | Friday, 1:00pm–7:00pm
Hours: 38 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plasma Cutter to join our busy manufacturing team based in Brierley Hill.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced plasma cutter looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday afternoon shift with a competitive rate of £17 per hour.

The Role

You will be responsible for operating plasma cutting machinery to accurately cut steel and other materials to the required sizes and profiles. You will work from engineering drawings and cutting specifications, ensuring all components are produced to the required quality and dimensional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and setting plasma cutting machinery.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Loading and unloading materials onto the cutting bed.

• Setting appropriate cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses.

• Checking finished components for quality and accuracy.

• Carrying out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.

• Reporting machine faults or quality issues.

• Working safely and following all company health and safety procedures.

• Meeting production targets and deadlines.

• Maintaining a clean and organised working area.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a plasma cutter is essential.

• Experience working with steel, plate or sheet metal.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

• Good attention to detail.

• Strong commitment to health and safety.

• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.

• CNC plasma cutting experience would be advantageous.

Monday–Thursday: 2:00pm–10:00pm
Friday: 1:00pm–7:00pm
