Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Wirer to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the Telford area.

THE JOB

· Build and wire electrical control panels and electrical assemblies to drawings and specifications.

· Fit and wire electrical components including contactors, relays, terminals, switches, circuit breakers and other control equipment.

· Read and interpret electrical schematic and wiring diagrams.

· Carry out panel assembly, cable preparation, crimping, termination and wiring.

· Route and dress cables neatly within control panels and enclosures.

· Carry out continuity checks, testing and fault finding on completed panels.

· Identify wiring faults and carry out repairs or modifications where required.

· Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.

· Work to production schedules while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.

ABOUT YOU

· Previous experience in panel wiring, control panel assembly or electrical assembly.

· Able to read and understand electrical schematic and wiring diagrams.

· Experience wiring electrical components within control panels or electrical enclosures.

· Confident using hand tools, cable preparation tools and crimping equipment.

· Experience with cable termination, ferrules, terminals and cable identification.

· Basic electrical testing and fault-finding experience would be advantageous.

· Good attention to detail and able to work accurately from drawings.

· Practical and methodical approach to problem solving.

· Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Keen to develop their skills and take on additional responsibility.

· Must be able to reliably commute to Telford.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Thursday 07:30AM to 16:30PM

Friday 07:30AM to 13:00PM (40 Hours per week)

PAY RATE

£14.50ph - £13.50ph depending on experience
