Production Operative

Location: Somercotes, DE55
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks
Break: 30-minute paid break

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing business in Somercotes, DE55.

This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent after 12 weeks. Previous production, manufacturing, assembly, warehouse or factory experience is advantageous, but a good attitude and willingness to learn are key.

Duties:

• Assembly and production of foam and seat cushion components

• Gluing foam using water-based spray adhesive

• Fabrication and hands-on assembly work

• Labelling and checking finished products

• Stacking products into trolleys

• Loading and unloading vehicles

• Manual handling and handballing

• Working around production machinery

• Following health and safety procedures

This is a hands-on, physical role. The fabrication area can be messy, and you will be required to stand for long periods and regularly handle products.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Production, manufacturing, assembly, warehouse or factory experience preferred

• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Good attention to detail

• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Looking for long-term employment

PPE:

Safety boots and hi-vis required. Safety glasses provided.

A site tour will be available before starting, so you can see the working environment and understand the role.
