TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Bradford who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. The setting provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children and young people with a range of additional needs and disabilities.

The setting is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover with an Immediate Start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with needs including Autism / ASD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD, hearing and sight impairments and physical disabilities, helping them to engage with learning and develop their independence.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant or SEND qualification is desirable
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and ADHD
• Experience supporting hearing and sight impairments or physical disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
