Salary: £90 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is working with primary schools across LS16, LS27 and surrounding areas and is looking to recruit a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant for day-to-day and short-term work from September.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will support teaching and learning across the school. Depending on the school's requirements, the Higher Level Teaching Assistant may deliver planned lessons, provide PPA cover, lead small-group interventions and support pupils across KS1 and KS2.

We are particularly interested in an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who can confidently step into different classrooms and quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:

• HLTA qualification or relevant equivalent experience

• Previous UK primary school experience

• Confidence delivering planned learning activities

• Strong classroom and behaviour management

• Experience supporting KS1 and/or KS2

• Good safeguarding knowledge

• Excellent communication skills
