Kitchen Extraction Technician – Immediate Opportunity

Jobsworth Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Extraction Technician to join a growing specialist team across the West Midlands.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The role involves travelling to commercial premises in a company van and carrying out specialist cleaning and maintenance of commercial kitchen extraction systems.

Most work takes place at night, when commercial kitchens are closed, so applicants must be comfortable working night shifts.

Previous experience is an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

The Role

As a Kitchen Extraction Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Travelling to customer sites in a company van

• Cleaning commercial kitchen extraction systems and grease ductwork

• Cleaning kitchen canopies, filters, fans and associated equipment

• Removing grease and other contaminants from extraction systems

• Working at height where required, using appropriate access equipment

• Using professional cleaning equipment and chemicals safely

• Completing cleaning and inspection records

• Taking before-and-after photographs of completed work

• Following company procedures and relevant industry standards

• Reporting defects, access problems or safety concerns

• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and workmanship

• Representing the company professionally at customer sites

• Keeping company vehicles and equipment clean, safe and well maintained

• Working effectively as part of a two-person team

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, hardworking and punctual

• Comfortable working predominantly night shifts

• Practical and hands-on

• Physically capable of carrying out a manual role

• Comfortable working at height

• Able to work well as part of a small team

• Customer-focused and professional

• Safety-conscious

• Willing to travel between different customer sites

• Able to follow instructions and company procedures

• Comfortable completing paperwork and digital job reports

• Keen to learn and develop new skills

A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive company vehicles to customer sites.

Experience

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

• Kitchen extraction cleaning

• Commercial cleaning

• Duct cleaning

• Ventilation systems

• Facilities management

• Engineering or maintenance

• Restaurants or commercial kitchens

• Working at height

Don't have previous kitchen extraction experience? That's absolutely fine. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Working Pattern

This is predominantly a night-shift position, as the majority of work is carried out when restaurants and commercial kitchens are closed.

Work will mainly be across the West Midlands, with limited longer-distance travel. Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on workload.
