Production Operative - Dukinfield (SK16)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our well-established client based in Dukinfield (SK16).

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced industrial environment, offering consistent hours and the opportunity to secure long-term work.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Factory Operative, Manufacturing Operative or General Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £16.08 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Thursday
• 18:30 - 06:30
• Three-day weekend every week

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Production Operative, you will work:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery
• Loading raw materials into machines
• Removing finished products from production lines
• Carrying out heavy lifting of materials and products, up to 25kg
• Trimming, inspecting, and quality checking finished goods
• Bagging and milling products
• Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe
• Following strict health and safety procedures at all times
• Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets

This is a physically demanding role within a busy manufacturing environment.

Due to the nature of the production process, the working environment can be warm and industrial, so candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions.

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Production Operative, you will need:

• To be comfortable lifting up to 25kg on a regular basis
• To be comfortable working in a warm industrial environment
• Excellent reliability and punctuality
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work twelve-hour shifts consistently
• A commitment to health and safety procedures

Training:

• Full training provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Previous production or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
• Experience within heavy industrial or factory-based environments would be beneficial
