Vocational Hair & Beauty Tutor / Assessor Location: St Helens & Bury – Multi-Site Role Are you a qualified Hair & Beauty professional with an Assessor qualification? Could you use your industry experience to inspire young people who need a different route through education? KPI Education is working with an established Alternative Education provider to recruit a Vocational Hair & Beauty Tutor / Assessor to work across sites between St Helens and Bury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hair & Beauty professional who combines strong industry knowledge with the ability to teach, assess, mentor and motivate young people. Many of the learners within the provision have struggled within mainstream education. Your role will be to make learning practical, engaging and relevant while helping students develop the skills, confidence and qualifications they need for their next steps. The Role As a Vocational Hair & Beauty Tutor / Assessor, you will deliver practical Hair & Beauty programmes while assessing learners against the relevant vocational standards. You will be responsible for:
What We're Looking For An Assessor qualification is essential for this position. Applicants must have a recognised assessing qualification such as A1, D32/D33, TAQA/CAVA or equivalent. You will also need strong occupational experience within the Hair & Beauty sector and the confidence to deliver and assess practical vocational learning. You could currently be working as a: Hair & Beauty Assessor | Hairdresser | Beautician | Vocational Tutor | FE Tutor | Salon Trainer | Hair & Beauty Lecturer | Vocational Trainer Experience working within Alternative Provision, FE, training providers, apprenticeships or with vulnerable young people would be highly advantageous. Most importantly, you'll need to be approachable, resilient, organised and engaging, with the ability to establish clear expectations while building positive relationships with learners.
