WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – GLASGOW G33

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives – Glasgow G33 to join our well-established client based in Glasgow, G33.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering long-term ongoing work, 12-hour day and night shifts, weekly pay and an increased rate of pay after completing 12 weeks.

£12.71 PER HOUR | £13.00 AFTER 12 WEEKS | 12-HOUR SHIFTS | DAYS OR NIGHTS | ONGOING WORK

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Warehouse Operative, Waste Operative, Recycling Operative, General Operative, Warehouse Worker or Manual Handling Operative.

Please note: This role is based within a medical waste environment and involves working directly with waste returned from hospitals. Strong odours can be present, so candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions before applying.

Shifts

Depending on your availability, shifts can include:

 • Day Shift – 06:00 to 18:00
 • Night Shift – 18:00 to 06:00
 • Monday to Friday shifts available
 • 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern also available
 • 12-hour shifts

Rates of Pay

 • £12.71 per hour for day and night shifts
 • £13.00 per hour after completing 12 weeks
 • Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

 • Emptying hospital bins and containers
 • Sorting medical waste returned from hospitals
 • Hand-balling and sorting skips
 • Moving and organising waste safely around the site
 • Carrying out general manual handling duties
 • Keeping work areas clean and organised
 • Following strict health and safety procedures
 • Completing general warehouse and site duties as required

Essential Skills

 • Comfortable working within a medical waste environment
 • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
 • Reliable and punctual
 • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
 • Able to follow strict health and safety instructions
 • Good communication skills
 • Able to work effectively as part of a team
 • Ability to reliably travel to Glasgow G33 for 06:00 or 18:00 start times
