This is a fantastic opportunity offering £13.00 per hour, guaranteed ongoing work, weekly rotas issued in advance, immediate starts and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with a well-established business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a 3.5 Tonne Driver, Van Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, Parcel Driver, Home Delivery Driver or Light Goods Vehicle Driver.

This role is ongoing for the right candidate and offers guaranteed minimum paid hours every shift.

Please note: You must be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes.

Shifts

  • Monday to Friday
  • Early and Late Shifts Available
  • Weekly Rotas Issued in Advance
  • Working Any Four Nights Out of Seven
  • Shifts Between Five and Ten Hours Per Day

Rates of Pay

  • £13.00 per hour
  • Guaranteed Minimum of Five Hours' Pay Per Shift
  • Weekly Pay (PAYE – Holiday Pay Accrued Separately)

Day-to-Day Duties

As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with loading and unloading the vehicle at the start and end of each shift
  • Delivering goods from the warehouse to stores and collecting returns
  • Completing between six and eight store deliveries per shift
  • Working any four nights out of seven in line with the weekly rota
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
  • Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location
  • Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle checks accurately
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

Essential Skills

To be successful as a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
  • Have held your driving licence for a minimum of two years
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences only
  • No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements accepted
  • Be aged 21 or over due to insurance requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good geographical knowledge and the ability to work to delivery schedules
  • A reliable, professional and punctual attitude

Desirable Experience

  • Previous commercial driving experience would be advantageous
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be beneficial
  • Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Home Delivery Driver or Parcel Driver would be desirable

Training Provided

  • Paid site induction following a successful theory and driving assessment
  • Minimum of three paid training shifts alongside an experienced driver
  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
