HGV 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver – Bristol

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a permanent HGV 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join our well-established client based in Bristol.

This role would suit candidates with previous experience as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, C1 Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Truck Driver, Commercial Driver, or LGV Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • 05:00 start times

Salary

 • Starting salary of £34,000 per annum
 • Guaranteed minimum of 45 hours per week, even if routes are completed early

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver, your duties will include:

 • Safely operating a 7.5 Tonne (Category C1) vehicle to complete multi-drop deliveries
 • Loading and unloading boxes and packages for delivery
 • Preparing and loading your vehicle for the following day's deliveries
 • Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections and reporting defects promptly
 • Ensuring all loads are secure and transported safely
 • Completing delivery and compliance paperwork accurately
 • Communicating effectively with the transport office and delivery teams
 • Following all food hygiene, temperature control and transport regulations

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
 • A minimum of 12 months' Category C1 driving experience
 • A valid CPC Qualification Card
 • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
 • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
 • No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes
 • A good level of spoken and written English
 • Excellent communication and customer service skills
 • A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
 • A good understanding of road traffic legislation and vehicle safety

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial driving experience
 • Multi-drop delivery experience
 • Food or temperature-controlled distribution experience

Training Provided

 • Vehicle safety and compliance training
