Student Engagement Mentor

Milk Education is looking for Student Engagement Mentors to support primary schools across North Durham.

September Start | Full Time | £107.71 daily rate | 8:30am – 3:30pm

You’ll play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build positive relationships and develop the confidence and independence they need to thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support
• Building positive relationships and encouraging pupil confidence
• Helping children develop communication, social and self-management skills
• Supporting pupils with additional needs and individual learning requirements
• Working closely with teachers and wider school teams
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment
• Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining confidentiality

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a school or education setting is desirable
• Level 2/3 Childcare, Education or a related qualification is advantageous, but relevant experience will also be considered
• A genuine passion for supporting children
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, positive and encouraging approach
• An understanding of SEND and additional needs
