Class 1 Walking Floor Driver

Location: Tilbury 
Pay Rate: £19.05 – £20.17 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time / Temporary / Ongoing Opportunities Available

1. 1-2 day drivers  (Mon-Fri) 

2. 1 Tramper (Mon-Fri) 

3.  1 Tramper (Tue-Sat) 

4.  Early afternoon drivers x 2  (1300-1900)  

5. 1 day driver (Thu-Sat) 

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV Class 1 / C+E) Walking Floor Drivers to join our growing transport operation based in Tilbury. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for consistent work, competitive rates of pay, and long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 1 Walking Floor vehicles across planned routes
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting procedures
• Deliver and collect loads efficiently while maintaining excellent safety standards
• Ensure compliance with tachograph, driving hours, and transport legislation
• Complete all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
• Maintain high standards of professionalism when representing the business

Requirements:

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Previous Walking Floor experience preferred
• Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver regulations and road transport legislation
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude
