The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a highly regarded independent veterinary practice based in Luton. 

This is a varied nursing role within a supportive and experienced team, offering exposure to orthopaedic procedures, diagnostic imaging, inpatient care, routine surgery, dental procedures and nurse consultations. The successful candidate will primarily be based in Luton, with occasional cover required at nearby branch practices during periods of annual leave or sickness. 

Whether you're an experienced RVN or recently qualified, you'll be joining a practice that genuinely values its nurses, encourages professional development and provides the clinical freedom to make the most of your skills. 

The Role 
As part of a collaborative team, you'll enjoy a varied caseload including:

• Surgical nursing and theatre support
• Inpatient care and monitoring
• Nurse consultations and client education
• Assisting with diagnostic imaging including ultrasound and digital X-ray
• Dental procedures
• Supporting student nurses if qualified as a Clinical Coach, or receiving training to become one

The Hours
The practice offers flexibility with either a 4 or 5-day working week. 
5-day week

• Early shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Late shift: 10:00am–7:00pm or 10:30am–7:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

4-day week

• 8:00am–7:00pm or 8:30am–7:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

• Weekend commitment is currently 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am–5:30pm) with a full day off in lieu when working a five-day week.
• There are no out-of-hours, Sunday or Bank Holiday requirements, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

About You
We're looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse
• Enjoys delivering outstanding patient care
• Is organised, proactive and works well as part of a team
• Has excellent communication skills
• Is interested in mentoring student nurses or keen to train as a Clinical Coach
• Is happy to work primarily in Luton with occasional travel to nearby branch practices when required
