Night Porter Required – South Cornwall

My client, an award-winning 4-star hotel, restaurant, spa and golf resort based in South Cornwall, is seeking to recruit an experienced Night Porter to join their established team.

Position Details

📍 Location: South Cornwall

🏨 4-Star Hotel, Restaurant, Spa & Golf Resort

Shifts- 11pm-8am- 4 days on/4 days off

£14.25 per hour + excellent benefits

Live in accommodation available

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a warm and professional welcome to late-arriving guests
• Assisting with guest requests throughout the night
• Conducting regular security checks across the hotel and grounds
• Preparing public areas for the following day
• Supporting the reception team with guest arrivals and departures
• Handling telephone enquiries and overnight administration duties
• Ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff and premises at all times
• Assisting with set-up requirements for functions and events where required

The Ideal Candidate

✅ Previous experience working in a hotel Night Porter, Night Receptionist, Night Auditor or similar overnight hospitality role
✅ Experience within a 4-star hotel, luxury resort or high-quality hospitality environment preferred
✅ Strong understanding of guest service standards and hotel operations
✅ Confident handling guest requests, complaints and enquiries professionally
✅ Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
✅ Experience carrying out security checks, night procedures and basic administrative duties
✅ Excellent communication skills with a calm and professional approach
✅ Reliable, trustworthy and highly organised with strong attention to detail
