Behaviour Support Assistant – Secondary Schools (Liverpool)

Milk Education are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to work across secondary schools in the Liverpool area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, improving behaviour, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Important Requirement

To be considered for this role, you must have prior experience working within a UK secondary school. Applications without this experience cannot be progressed.


About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils who present challenging behaviour or require additional emotional support
  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SEN departments
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
  • Use de-escalation strategies and follow school behaviour policies
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a UK secondary school environment (essential)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A calm, resilient, and professional approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
