TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive mainstream secondary school in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant. The school has a positive and inclusive ethos, providing a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally.

The school is looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant on a short-term basis starting in September. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, working alongside teaching staff to deliver targeted classroom support, promote positive behaviour and help students remain engaged in their learning.

The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Level 3 qualification
• Experience working within a UK secondary school
• Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
