Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Aintree, Liverpool to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Year 4 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2026.

This role will be a temporary position, with a view to becoming permanent.

This Year 4 Teaching Assistant role focuses on providing one-to-one support for a child with Autism. We are looking for someone who is patient, caring, and highly adaptable to meet the pupil's individual learning needs.

You will play an important role in supporting the child's academic progress, social development, and emotional well-being within a supportive and structured school environment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Provide one-to-one support for a Year 4 pupil with Autism.

• Keep the child engaged and focused throughout the school day.

• Prepare learning resources and support classroom activities.

• Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff.

• Encourage the pupil's independence, confidence, and participation in lessons.

Requirements or Skills:

• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism.

• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Commitment to supporting the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
