Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer

We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer to join our Health & Safety Enforcement Team This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with current health & safety enforcement experience to manage a varied caseload of proactive and reactive enforcement work.

Location: Wembley, London

Hours: 36 hours per week

Working Pattern: Hybrid with flexible and remote working available

Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of health & safety enforcement work.
• Undertake proactive inspections and reactive investigations.
• Investigate health & safety complaints and RIDDOR notifications.
• Take appropriate enforcement action in line with current legislation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety laws and guidance.

Essential Requirements

• Current experience in health & safety enforcement.

A recognised professional qualification to undertake health & safety interventions, such as:

• Diploma, BSc or MSc in Environmental Health
• NEBOSH qualification
• Registration with the CIEH.
• Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation.
• Experience investigating health & safety complaints, RIDDOR notifications and enforcement action.
• Excellent communication, organisational and case management skills.
