A welcoming and inclusive school in Sandbach (CW11) is looking for an ambitious and compassionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

Working alongside experienced teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs while developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to build a successful career in education.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils' academic progress, confidence and personal development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, independence and resilience.
  • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need:

  • A 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve one).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient and resilient approach.
  • Experience supporting or working with others through education, volunteering, mentoring, coaching, care or similar environments.
  • The enthusiasm to learn from experienced education professionals.
  • An ambition to build a long-term career within education, SEND or child development.
  • The right to work full-time in the UK.

Previous experience supporting children with SEND is beneficial but not essential. We're looking for graduates with empathy, commitment and the potential to make a meaningful difference to pupils' lives.
